New mods ending up to be more work

Ok guys this what is going on with my car! Recently i have bought 3:73 posi and also got a shift kit with corvette servo! Well i dont know how to do all this so i bring it to a local shop and they said no problem but i would need a bearing kit i said ok. So i drop the car off tuesday i call them thursday they have got the trans done and rear end ripped apart. Then today they called me saying i need to come down their b/c their running into problems! I said ok and got a buddy to drive me down. I get down their and they say i need new rear brakes, drive shaft u joints. Then i said i would do the brakes and the drive shaft is fine, and said they could do the u joints. Then the 2 BAD NEWS is that the rear brakes were bad b/c the old man that i bought off of was power braking the crap out of it doing burn outs. That explains why their was a diffent tire lol. I didnt notice the different tread pattern on that tire when i bought it. Then my nice NEW exsaust the idiot put on is way to close where when ever i would go over a hill fast i would hear a noise and that was the u joint banging against my exsaust. So i dont know how to fix that everything is welded. SO TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD DO! So later today my dad calls them they said everything was done besides the seedo or what ever. They said they wont get the parts to later so then they said i wont get my car back untill tuesday at the FASTEST. I have to work and everything else im going to kill someone. Sorry for the book lol.

Re: New mods ending up to be more work

Had similar work done myself recently, except mine also included a motor swap. Went in April 2. Got it back Wednesday evening, only to have a little bit of whine in the rear end and the speedo died, so it went back on Thursday morning. I should get it back Monday or Tuesday. But hell, it's been there over 3 months, so what's a few more days, right? Obviously this is your daily driver and that part is causing you some problems, but this kind of work can't and shouldn't be rushed. Sounds like the guys ran across some problems with your car that should have been addressed. Sounds like they do quality work. I wouldn't sweat it. Realize that they are doing you a favor by fixing everything that is wrong with the car. Come Tuesday, it will all be worth it. Until then, hope your legs are in good shape, cause you might be doing a lot of biking/walking . Good luck, bro.

[edit]Also, you can count yourself lucky that that's all they found wrong. I ended up with a full tranny rebuild, lots of little parts replaced that needed it, but it all needed to be done. You'll thank them later[/edit]
