newbie here? 90 tpi problem pls help!

Hi, Just bought 90 TA w 350 tpi. on way home after about 90 miles, car lost power like out of fuel. stumble 10-15 mph only, if let idle would run slightly better for short time. I'm sure there are references to problems like this but I am stuck. would really like to get it running right again. I have checked the following.
Fuel pressure ign on not running 40 psi, running 35-37. when revs up pressure increases then stabilizes. Checked trouble codes ses flashed code 12 only.
Talked with local GM tech. Suspected fuel pump, said psi on lower end, his experience said probably pump. I replaced fuel filter, did the normal visual inspection etc.
Decided to replace fuel pump anyway. That was fun!!! (ha-HA). anyway it still runs exactly the same way.
When I run it in the garage it sometimes will rev up and hold rpm than it will die with no warning, rechecked fuel pressure. still 40 psi. removed vac from fuel pressure reg. psi closer to 50 then.
tried to drive car to local shop to have scanned w tech 1, only made it a couple blocks, died. car will always restart. and fuel pump is running with ign on (2secs) per manual.
I took off dist cap, visual check looks ok? It sure seems like fuel to me, but it just isn't making sense.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ? thanks!

It sounds like an ignition module to me. If you've changed the F/P and fuel filter and it has plenty of pressure when it dies, it shouldnt be a fuel problem.
If you have access to a timing light, put it on a sparkplug wire and see if it stops flashing before the engine stops turning.
Or you could just change the module.

Re: newbie here? 90 tpi problem pls help!

Hi, Thanks for input. Yesterday I put a timing light on it and it appeared to have steady pulse so I had been focusing on fuel. Today I started it up cold and it ran pretty for about 5 minutes, than started acting up again. Same symptoms. I nursed it back home and rechecked fuel pressure. OK. Removed ecm found hypertech chip. removed it. same. Checked codes again ok. removed elect conn at tps. it set code. so i dont think problem is ecm. I removed intake snorkel and put a small amount of gas in throttle body. it did not seem to respond to fuel so am wondering about ignition again. think it could be anything else before i try module?

pull the injector clips off one at a time

start the car and if it runs better then you know that the injector is bad

Re: newbie here? 90 tpi problem pls help!

Still stumbling. I changed ign module. no change. Then I pulled elect conn off cyl 1 engine seemed to smooth out a bit. re installed, engine died. hmmmm?
tried same on 3,5,engine dropped rpm when unplugged increased when plugged in. repeated on #1 again. engine died when re attached plug in.
so I unplugged #1 and took for drive. engine missing but appears to be running on other cyls now. plugged #1 in again engine died again.
Now It's getting pretty hot under hood. after it cools down I will try checking resistance of injectors.
any more suggestions?
Thanks!

Everything looking good, I replaced cap and rotor when module replaced.
as for injectors
I just checked resistance of 1,3,,5,7,4 others still too hot. all except #1 were 18 ohms
Number 1 appears to be at less than 1ohm. i dont have a real good meter but i'm thinking that this could be the problem.
