92 camaro sputtering/missing and transmission problem

my 92 camaro rs doesnt accellerate well. when i do it will sputter and it has almost no power, then it will "catch" i guess you could say and it will be fine. but it doesnt have any problem sometimes. im not sure what is causing this. also, when i let off the gas after accellerating, it will make a noise like something is being tossed around in the transmission casing. it idles ok except when it is in gear it shakes a lot, especially when the a/c is on. it will run smoothly for a minute or so while waiting at a stop light then it will start making a different noise and shaking, then go back to being "normal" then back again. it scares me because sometimes it will act like it is going to stop running but it never has. is all this linked to the same thing or are they all different problems? please help! thanks!
