Just wondering. How can i make my v8 5.0 into a better faster car without completely swapping the engine out?

 

Well, I'd say 13.0 1/4-mile is pretty much the limit for a 305 n/a. On mine I did 600cfm carb, performer rpm intake, 204/214@ .050 .420/.442 cam, shortie headers, other stuff like electric fan and fuel pump. That was capable of 14.4's@ 94mph. I know a guy at my track that put vortec heads, and a cam with more than .450 lift on his car, with some other stuff I don't know about. He got his down to 13.2. This year he swapped in a stock 350 short block and now does 12.3's.
