If I Install a competition racing cam in my trans am with a performance chip would i be able to adjust the fuel pressure enough to support it or will i need a new fuel pump ec. ????

 

Too many unknowns to possibly answer your question.

Cam specifics are vital. "Racing cam" means nothing - could be something slightly better than stock, could be something completely inappropriate for EFI usage.

Raising fuel pressure isn't necessarily something that will be needed. Maybe, but shouldn't be assumed. And, whether your stock pump is adequate depends a lot upon its condition.

"Performance chip" - like "racing cam", doesn't provide adequate information. It might help, there are too many mail-order performance chip horror stories out there to give me warm fuzzies.
