so tommorow is my schools tool sale. companies like snap on, matco and mac send a person from the company and offer huge discounts at around 40% to 60% on tools. and i was wondering, i have 500 bucks that im gonna use to buy tools and maybe around 300 of it is going to be used to buy some basic stuff that i need for my classes, and i was wondering if there are any tools that you guys think would be a bargain to get at this price. also none of the storage chests or large tools are forsale, just hand tools and some electronic tools

1/2" and 3/8" torque wrenches (Snap On makes a very nice digital one that beeps), gear-wrenches, dial-back timing light, any air tools (if you can use them). A body hammer/pick is nice, even if you don't do bodywork, because its a nice, fairly light, and well-balanced hammer. Good for lots of stuff.

I highly recommend those beeping torque wrenches... they are f*cking fantastic - way better than clickers, because they are more audible at low torque values, and they beep slowly to warn you when you are close, sort of like those back-up beepers on some cars... faster they beep, closer you are getting. I love them.
