Smoking at idle and startup
I just bought an 87 Iroc a few days ago for 1,000 dollars. This is my third Camaro. I am looking to restore it over the next few years. It has 100000 miles on it and is stock except for flowmaster exhaust and stage 1 shift kit. It has the L98 in it. It has the code 32 problem and it smokes at startup and at idle after two minutes. I am going to replace the EGR valve. I know the startup smoking problem could be related to bad valve seals. Is it the valve seal problem that is making the car smoke at idle? The car runs rough at idle, but does not stall. I have not checked the throttle body to see if it was cleaned. It was driven 200 miles to get it home. Please Help.

Yes, if the smoke at idle is blue, it's probably the valve stem seals.
