i have a set of 350 heads off a 1972 350. it came out of a camper special truck.
the casting number is 1688688, i couldnt find anything on them.
three other numbers were gm56, b162, and 21. what do there numbers mean? and are these heads anything good?

Re: are these heads good?
There is no such chevy head w/ that casting #, some of those digits must be incorrect. As a general rule, no Gen I chevy head that the factory ever used, is "good" in stock form. If you are building an engine, at least starting with some $800 iron Dart or World heads is going to put you ahead of the game vs. rebuilding stock heads.

Nothing special, but decent stock heads IMO.

Re: are these heads good?
yea i agree, and with 75 cc chambers my compession ratio would be way too low wouldnt it?
i am looking at a pair of 68 cc heads right now, do you know what my compression would be with that?
