put a rod thru the pan

well i went to the track today and thru a rod in my new 355 build. just so i can drive it this fall i am going to be putting in a fresh 87' 305 i have sitting in my garage. it needs a cam ,i have a new non roller cam 232/234 dur with 488 lift. a) is it to big and b) can i use my pushrod and rockers from the roller set up with non roller cam. will the length be ok? fyi 305 has nice heads ported and polished 081's 2500 stall with a th350 rpm intake and 1850 holley.

As long as the heads and springs can take the lift you should be fine. Roller and non roller pushrods are .6" different in length, but you could probably use stock ones. There's nothing special with the rockers so, use whatever you want.
