heres a good one
installing a 406 sbc chevy into my 87 gta everything went very well until i started to line up the torque converter bolts i rotated the crank shaft and heard a grinding noise long story short i bought a new sfi flywheel from tci ends up the flywheel is bent and rubbing the starter gear only at certain spots has this ever happened to anybody else thanx

ya, that's why i recommend test fitting the starter with the motor on the stand still.. in the past i've just used a washer or something as a shim and ended up with optimal tooth coverage without grinding.
