Hi ya`ll

I`m about to set the static timing on my car. The Haynes manuel tells on one pages to disconect the est wire and on another to disconect the 4 wire est connector at the distributer. Now im confused Its a HEI Delco distributer with a build in ignitioncoil. I Have the 4 wire connector but i do not have a single wire connector. Please help.
It`s a pontiac 305 Cui from 83
