i have a part on the top back of the carb.. It looks like its a main connection to the carb.. But i have no idea what it connects to.. anyone have any idea?
And i have this really thin tube that has a rubber hose connected at the end.. I know i have 2 of these floating around that are not connected to anything.. Where does it connect to? I have a idling problem and im sure some of these little things are causing it.
Check the 2 pictures.. on the thin tube pic.. it shows the end and where it starts

The vacuum port on the top of the carb is for the EGR solenoid. It just gives the EGR vacuum source filtered air - not being connected wouldn't cause an idle problem.
I can't tell from your other picture what that is, but since your other EGR solenoid line isn't hooked up, wouldn't surprise me that the source isn't hooked up properly, either.
There should be a sticker under the hood that shows the vacuum routing.

it could go to your map sensor. thats where mine goes. Go to search and google Vacuum Diagram. some one has evry year and every motor mapped out.
