over heating

first off i own a 92 v8 305 camaro ive removed the thermostat and i have a new water pump and my radiator seems to be working fine and no leeks in the radiator hoses but my car still makes it to 260 after it runs for a few minutes befor it comes down to mornal temp i also have my ac set on normal which keeps the fan on at all times any ideas one whats wrong with the damn thing

did you try a new temp. sending unit? that was the fix for my "over-cooling" problem.

wouldnt it only have a overcooling problem if the thermostat was the problem and i removed it it should have solved the problem? in my old camaro i know i went through 2 or 3 heater valves but they leak when they go bad..... still stumped on this one im going to check in to see if my radiator is clogged or find other ways to open up more air flow to the radiator/engine this is really bothering me

grr a friend of mine thinks its a blown head gasket. do you thinkg i blew a head gasket??? i really hope not
