Left turn signal keeps blinking

Ok i posted this in electronics but i seem to never have any luck on that board.

I replaced my steering column the other day because my tilt was so messed up that i figured if i could avoid tearing into the column that would be ideal, everything came out and went in fine, then i decided to test the high beams, blinkers, brakes, etc. Tail lamps and stop lights worked fine, highs worked great (my old switch was slightly out of range on the old column cuz i never adjusted it) then i checked my signals....

*NOTE* The cancelling cam is working properly***

I turned on my left signal, blinks fine, so i spun the wheel to the left to simulate a turn, spun the wheel straight, it cancelled and the lever popped back into place but the light kept on blinking. and still is blinking... anytime i have the key in the on position. It doesnt mater what i try its not working, i even tried the right signal but only the left side is blinking.

Im pretty sure im gonna have to tear into it this time, my thought is i have a short in the yellow wire because thats the left signal, any ideas????

It's not an electrical problem, it's a mechanical problem with the switch. Probably a broken/worn plastic part.
If there was a short, the right turn signal would have worked too when you put it on.
