Coolant sensor, dash gauge

I put a new sensor on the intake for the dash gauge and its still showing pegged out all the way to the top. It was like this when the green wire wasn't hooked up, so I picked up a new sensor and thought it would read rite but nothing. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Oh ya the oil pressure shows the same too

Re: Coolant sensor, dash gauge

The sender for the gauge is not in the intake, it is located on the driver head in between the #1 and #3 spark plugs. Check there for the wire to be grounded or the sender could be bad itself.

Re: Coolant sensor, dash gauge

Yes I'm aware of that, but I put a autometer temp gauge there and kinda of burnt the cable from the header. The original sensor was moved over to the HSR intake. Still not getting a read off the dash gauge, I figure its the green wire as the sensor is new.Just waiting to get the autometer replaced but thought it wouldn't hurt to have the dash gauge working as well. Re: Coolant sensor, dash gauge

In that case, it sounds like you have a problem with power going to the gauges, the gauge itself is bad or its a wiring issue. Could be the same with your oil pressure gauge.
