Vacuum Hose Size

305 CC 4bbl Qjet LG4

Anybody know all the sizes of rubber under the hood? (Maybe someone who recently replaced all theirs)

I'd hate to get out there and start ripping out vacuum hoses and measuring, buy new and then spend a day routing it all.

Sorry if this is a mundane question.

P.S. Whats that hose called that comes from the bottom of the air cleaner into the engine, About 1-2 inches long and looks like a mini dryer hose

Re: Vacuum Hose Size

What year car?

Should be mostly 7/32". Close to 3/16", but not quite. There's also some 3/8" (brake booster line).

mini dryer hose - exhaust heat riser. Gives warm air to air cleaner for cold starts. You should have a thermal (vacuum operated) switch to open/close that opening on the bottom of your air cleaner.

Re: Vacuum Hose Size

You're replacing every hose under the hood? I have no idea how many of the emissions equipment use that style of hose, so I wouldn't even want to guess... Or how much of those you still have. Your guess is better than mine!
