Need help with troubleshooting this issue. Engine is missing at low throttle and backfiring when I get on it. So far replaced injectors, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, Cap/Rotor. Checked base timing approx 7 deg, noticed backfire goes away if I leave EST in bypass however engine still does not run like it should. Also noticed oil pressure going down around 20 or below.

 

Seems to backfire when you let off throttle. How do I check codes?

 

Im wondering if we might have the same problem my oil pressure is also low and I have had a car I had to figure a problem of dying long story short the wire leading to the computer from guage of this car had got pinched behind the fuse box from the factory giving intermitt. prob. bacause the computer would cut off fuel thinking oil press. to low to save the engine, check out my other recent posts although I had a fuel gauge on mine showing no pressure drop when trying to acc. this might be an electrical cut off internal in the comp. guess i'll soon find out let you know if you have obd1 type connector take a papper clip and stick one side into top right term and the one just the left turn your key on and stare watching codes flash should start code 12 one flash then two will do it three times and move on to any other codes if stored.
