898 Head Specs

I'm purchasing a '92 Camaro with an older rebuilt 350 block. The heads are 898, which comes back to a Gen I crate motor. Do these flow well at all?? In comparison, I also have the option of putting 305 L69 heads..which would be better??

I don't know details of those specific casting numbers, but crate engines (read: "van fleet replacement engine") typically don't get very good heads. Perhaps someone can pipe in with better info.

Re: 898 Head Specs

I took a second look and my buddy and I must have both been blind yesterday. I believe they're 882 heads..which makes more sense with the year (70's) block the owner is saying it is..

In that case, the 305 heads.
