Making list for Future Build
Hi,
ok.. Here in the next year or so I want to start building the engine thats gonna power my camaro.. the final engine thats gonna go in the car.
I want to do this on a budget, but I also want to make sure to do it right.
I want to have 400-500hp range supercharged 383 Stroker engine... well doesnt have to be a stroker.. I wouldnt even mind staying with a 350.. but i figured if I'm replacing the rotating assembly..
I guess my first question is, I have 2 engines I can rebuild, a L05 engine and an L98 engine, both of which are 2 bolt mains, would I be alright with one of these blocks? or should I try and find, and buy a 4 bolt block? I'd like to use one of the ones I already have if possible.
so if anyone can get me started on an actual parts list that i might start purchasing part through out the year..
I wanna go with aluminum heads for sure, and roots style supercharger..
if anyone else has a setup like this.. give me some good ideas on affordible and reliable parts?
I'm going to swap in a t-56 Transmission also.. it's not really gonna be a big strip machine.. not saying its not gonna go down the track.. but its mostly going to be for showing off and having a little fun..
what kind of heads?
what kind of cam?
maybe a combo of some sort?
rotating assembly?
I don't know a ton about building an engine.. but with the right parts.. I know I can get the right help for putting it together..
