Re: Vortec Plugs

Download and read the Edelbrock install instructions for your Etec heads.
The Etec heads do not use the same spak plug reach as a GM OEM Vortec head uses. Use a Champion RC12YC spark plug in the Etec heads.
Put some anti sieze grease on the threads. Do not try to remove the spark plugs unless the motor is cold.

OEM vortecs use a shorter .708" reach "RS" series spark plug. Not the same.

Re: Vortec Plugs

There is just something about that tech bulliten that does not make any sense.

I suggest you start with the recomended Champions.
I've been using Champions for over 30 years without issues.

If you prefer not to use a champion, use a Autolite 3924 or AC delco FR3LS
gap at .035"

doing a quick google search I see the that Champion plug is popular in lawn mowers!

It has autolites in right now but I don't know anything else about them. A tech guy at the track said they are junk.

I don't know
