AC Delco plugs with headers?
I have an 88 GTA that will be getting some hedman headers very shortly. These are the headers I will be getting:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/68470/10002/-1
Anyway, I am getting them used locally. I hadn't heard from the guy for a while and need to get this car running, so I bought the stuff to reuse the factory manifolds, including the AC Delco R45TS plugs. The guy got back to me today to tell me when the headers should hopefully be ready to go.
I already installed the driver's side spark plugs and since they are new, I was wondering if it's possible to run them with those headers. Thanks for any advice you may have

Re: AC Delco plugs with headers?
its possible, might melt your plugwires though. I used Accels special plugs made for headers.

Re: AC Delco plugs with headers?
I use the Delco R45TS plugs with Hedman 68481 /w AIR headers.
Cylinders 6 and 8 are ridiculously hard. Some guys modify spark
plug sockets to slide in and use a wrench to hank 'em out.
Wish I were that smart, I just unbolt the header and exchange gaskets
frequently and do the 6 and 8 plugs then. everything else is accessible.
But, yes.. you should be fine. I use Accel 8mm plug wires with angled
boots, just make sure you hang the access properly so nothing arks or
melts.
