oil pressure switch/sender question

ok so i just put longtubes on my car the other day and after installing them i put the oil switch/sender in. that was a pain the socket i bought didnt fit. anyways i got it tight, at least i thought so, with a 30 mm open ended wrench. well i go to start the car to see if i have exhaust leaks and notice that the sender is leaking. it drops about a drop every 5 seconds. when i had the motor put in, pre 86, they put my 91 sensor in the block so i can still use my gauge. it didnt leak before i put the headers in. does it matter that i put a 91 sensor in a pre 86 block? should i buy a different sensor. could it still be a little loose? how does everyone put theres in? like i said i couldnt slid the oil pressure socket over it because it hit the frame. what do you guys think?if i buy a wrench(1-3/16 i think) would that work better to install it? please help. i dont like dripping oil when i drive lol.

Re: oil pressure switch/sender question

Obviously make sure it's tight, but try a little of the sensor-safe Loctite PST thread sealant (37615 is the one I use).
