New Carb And Intake......Ok With A Stock Cam?

Hi i own a 83 cutlass supreme with a 305 and i recently bought a edelbrock 650 thunderseries carb and a edelbrock performer air gap intake just wondering if they'll be fine with a stock cam?"

It should run better than the stock carb and intake. Granted a larger cam would take advantage of your new setup. The original LO3 that was in my car woke up when I put an Edelbrock performer intake and Holley 570 S/A carb.

You should of went with the performer intake and left it at that unless you plan on modding the motor in th future.

It will be fine but you will need to dump the stock distributor. If I had the extra money I would buy a really cheap cam to run with the new carb and intake.

ya i will be doing some more mods in the future, including new cam and heads, just dont have the extra money at the moment but definetly will go get a new distributor.
