305 LB9 heads

im looking to rebuild my LB9 engine. (I know about the 350s superriority but im probably not going that direction) does anyone know a place other than world products that makes a good head for the 5 liter? maybe a little better performance? im not knocking world products at all but id just like to know all options. What about pistons also?

will edelbrock 60859 heads work w a 5 liter engine? I know that they are 60cc and i think that stock LB9 heads are 58cc.

edelbrock told me they would. they said use flat head pistons or mill them down just a little. cant remember the amount but maybe it was a few mm and you lost 1 cc. but you have to remember to use 350 gaskets.
they are on my "find it cheap" list. that means i cruz the net looking all the time. evenutally i will find a set cheap.

i looked up trickflow again. my problem with them is that they are made in china. anything that is forged in china i am suspicious of. their own quality control sucks. yes you can get good ones, but for the price i would use edelbrock.
but i always bad mouth forged "anything" made in china.
if you get a set of trick - go have them checked for problems in the castings. i think they can x-ray them, or something like that.
