Ok,
Now I know why GM is in its final years.

I have a 92 RS 305 TBI manual drive and I have put a new starter, distributor, water pump, new clutch swith relay, and new spark plugs and wires on this car and for some reason when it gets hot or runs to operating temperature the DARN thing will not start????

It will almost start and sputter a little then it will just turn over and over but will not go???? After 10 to 15 minutes of turning over and pushing in and releasing the clutch it will sputter and start.........??????

What else can I do??? New distriutor, cap, etc,, was done this weekend and today I drove it to AUtozone to return a part and I got back in the car and the STUPID THING WOULDN'T START AGAIN!!!!! after about 10 minutes of HUMILIATION it finally started and i drove it home!

Once it is running it runs like a raped ape. So no problems there.

I dont know much on this stuff, but I am learning as I go and have done all work myself,,,
Car starts almost right up when cold???

So I am baffled.........

Please advise.

 

check the battery ground cable connection at the block mine was loose and caused the same problem and i did the same as you new starter,tune up,etc.
was ready to give up but found the ground loose by sear luck and tighten it all problmes wet awy.
