Recently ive been having a major issue with my truck. A few months back after returning home from work for some reason my fog lights would not turn off. I popped the hood and pulled the fuses for the fog lights, still would not turn off. Then as i re-opened the driver door my alarm went off and i could not deactivate it. After 5 minutes of trying to deactivate it i finally pulled the wire from the horn. The lights still would not turn off after pulling every fuse so i just left it and waited for the battery to die. The alarm system in my truck is an aftermarket system, so i called the company and they had no idea what the problem might be. So i decided to remove the system myself. The alarm was now gone but my fog lights were still on. I again tried removing all the fuses but got nothing. Finally i removed a wire that was feeding into my fuse panel and the lights went out. For the next few months the truck was running fine except for stalling occasionally. A few days ago while driving done the road my truck completly shut off and lost all power. I narrowely missed a head on collision. I got my truck jumped and everytihng seemed fine until about 10 minutes after driving the truck shut off again just feet from my house. The truck now will start but will only run a maximum of 10 minutes. I had the battery changed but no difference. While the truck is running if i put on the lights or any other electronics it immediatly bogs down. Im thinking its either my alternator or a serious wiring issue??? any ideas???
