ODB I and II scanner recommendation

I am looking to buy a scanner to read both ODB I and II. I have never used a scanner. I believe scanners will display real time info for ODB I and II cars? Is this true. Can you recommend a brand or model?

Re: ODB I and II scanner recommendation

I was under the impression that OBD I will only give you trouble codes. Not really much else. I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions for products.

Cannot say for OBDI, but for my OBDII, I use Autotap Diagnostic w/GM, Ford, and Chrysler parameters.
