Re: Ebay Heads
You get what you pay for. They can't compare to a good brand name set like AFR. After doing some searching, quite a few people say there's a quality control issue with their heads which is to be expected for inexpensive heads.
For the average person, they'll probably do fine.

I have had very good luck with Patriot heads over the last 5 years. I have not ran their vortec style heads. I am running the now Defunct Pro Topline brand Vortecs on my 377 CI setup right now and it is a very healthy motor at 375hp to the rear wheels. I would write them and make sure they will give you replacements if there are any manufacturing defects. You want to be bale to run decent lift and the slightly enlarged intake runners will give you the chance of a little more power.

I do work on cylinder heads and I don't mind working on heads like this.
They should work very well.
I'd suggest buying them bare and getting your own gear for them.
If you have a cylinder head shop near you then talk to them about it.
Some shops have usable heads laying around that they might offer you a deal on comparable to those.
