Still running rough after tuneup
My 91 camaro 5.7 tpi since last week has been running real rough. Rough enough to where running down the highway I have to use 5th instead of 6th at 60mph or my teeth get jerked out of my head. I just did cap, rotor, wires, plugs in an hour I'm freaking freezing. Every time I bent over the cold wind was going up my back.
The car runs real rich, but yet I have no service engine soon light on.

Ok its been a week since I've driven her. The roughness lastnight was from the exhaust at idle and the cold out. I forgot how much feedback I get in the feel of the car from the exhaust after riding all week in a Miata. LOL This morning when I left for work it was surging/hesitating/lugging (Which ever you want to refer to it as) real bad under load, more then normal ecceleration. Same with getting onto the highway. I can run at cruise speed now in 6th gear which is nice no more 3-3.5k running down the highway for 30 minutes twice a day. And it seems to be better when its warmer out or the engine is just plain warmed up. Its still running rich as hell though. If I punch it there is a ton of black smoke out the pipes. So I still obviously have problems between the surge and the rich issue. Any ideas on how to start this one off in the morning.

A weak O2 sensor can richen the mixture without setting a code. Ditto a leaking injector on the passenger side of the engine.

CTS also influences fueling. As long as a sensor is within it's range the diagnostic won't throw a code even if the sensor value isn't changing.

I broke a plug once when I was putting them in (Champion pieces of..) anyway.. You won't know it's broken until you pop the cap off, they must have been dropped prior to me buying them and a small crack could've formed, long story short, it ran like a $2000 vibrator.. Also, wait until night, run the car and look for the plug wires arcing to the head.. Mine also did that..
