i just returned from school. i noticed oli pressure gauge is all the way past 60psi. it wont budge, i checked my oil it was low. i put some oil in it and let it run for about 2-3 mins. the gauge didnt budge. so i need some answers in liek an hour before i head of to school vo-tech.

i got a 91 camaro. 305 tbi. if that helps.

 

my 91 rs did that. it was a bad oil pressure sender

 

yep, change oil pressure sender. Its on the rear of the engine by the fire wall just to the drivers side of the distributer.

 

ok thnank you i will do that. will that affect my engine at all untill i change my oil in about 1300 miles. thank you i was worried if my car was going to blow, but i think thats when you get no oil pressure hahaha

 

is it also called oil pressure switch?

 

no if its the switch it wont cause a prob. but you dont need to drop your oil to change the switch just unplug, unscrew, screw in and plug in then check your psi gauge

 

how much do those run in price, for the sender.

 

forget how much mine was but onlt like 10 or 15 $ from advanced
