Engine Boring price.

So how does a bore job (.030) over sound for about $350 bucks? The guy said he'll replace the cam bearings, the plugs, and clean the block and bore it for that price. That's the total price with the block handed back to me he said. What do you guys think? Thanks

Re: Engine Boring price.

here in asheville nc the going rate seems to be, $96.00 dollars for a bore and hone job, and then i think $73.00 dollars to install cam bearings and clean the block and remove oil and freeze plugs. and its $20.00 dollars to put new freeze plugs in. so i guess thats around 200 dollars with tax. sounds like your area is pretty high

Re: Engine Boring price.

ok i will. Thanks for the replies. This guy was recommended by a company i called. I called the company to ask if they did engine boring and the guy who i talked to said that this guy does all their boring and he does a good job. so i called that guy and he said $ 350 for the whole thing. I'll look around some more.
