Ok so I just bought an 89 iroc and it has a l98 swapped into it that is carb'd with a build t-5 tranny. It started up fine and has been except for a bad battery I just changed but then today it started then died because it was cold. I went to start again and it just grinds like the starter isn't engaging. I haven't got under it so idk if it is bad starter or bad teeth on the starter or flywheel, but if it is the start I want to put on the lt1 mini starter. I have shorty headers and the old owner has some heat wrap around the old starter so I'm guessing this one may get hot and I thought the mini would be better. Also I am running 11.5/1 comp so I think I need to make sure the starter to stand up to that?? Thanks
