First let me say that I am currently deployed right now and my father has been taking care of the car in my absense. He went to start it and seconds after starting it, he said it just died. No spit or sputter it just died. He tried turning on the lights, it wouldnt happen. It wont turn over, and the battery isnt 6 months old. He tried jumping the car and the lights still won't turn on.
I was thinking alternator, but it would at least have enough power from a jump to start and then die again. If it was the grounding cable then it wouldnt explain why the lights won't turn on.
I know trying to diagnose this when I am not there is prettyhard but I have a custom cam and other goodies i am putting in the car once i get home and want to make sure it is in operable shape.

 

He might want to clean and tighten the battery and starter connections.

 

Already checked......somebody suggested checking the fuzes so ill tell him to check those

 

Talked to my fatehr today...says it started right up??

must be a bad connection I would check the cables, and both sets of connections on them.

Positive battery cable shorting out against head......
