this engine code has me stumped.
so i just picked up a camaro off a guy in seattle for 850. he said it had a l69 motor in it, so i just assumed thats what it was. well i pulled the engine suffix code today to check it out, and the only numbers stamped on the front of the block are v0429fdw and right under that is cf7179857. i cant find this ANYWHERE! any help is apreciated.

You'll have to recheck the suffix number. I can't find FDW listed anywhere.
cf7179857 is the last part of the original vehicles VIN number.

i have checked it 8 times, i am 100% sure it says v0429fdw
