what did my motor come from origionally?

what did my motor come from origionally?

the serial number on the front of the passenger side cylinders is cf1231079 and the other number is ko712fft.


can someone help decode this?

oh and it is a 305. it has gm5.0lg stamped on the back of the block.

http://www.mortec.com/ is one resource to find GM block and head casting numbers.

If you cant find it there you might have to do an internet search for those numbers, if you havent already.
