no fuel to injectors!

K Uncle lost the keys we cut the iginition wire and i has VATS on it, well we got a normal key made for it and it still turns over and gas goes to the TBI, so that mean we bypass the VATS?

Problem 2: gas is going to the TBI and we got power going to the injectors wires but the two plugins that go into the top of the injectors wont send out the pulse to give gas. what could be the problem? we checked the fuses and there ok and i also have a bran new fuel pump installed. please help

Re: no fuel to injectors!

You can't just get a new key without the built in resistor. The VATS module has to get a matching resistance reading from the pellet in the key in order to send the required 40 hz signal to the blue wire A6 on the ECM. This 40 hz signal will allow the ECM to provide injector pulse.

Search for VATS bypass and you will find MANY threads about how to bypass the system. You can use these threads to figure out what resistance the VATS module must read in order to provide the signal to the ECM. Becasue once you know the resistance, then you can get the proper replacement key. Then you can keep your VATS system functioning properly.
