Need some belt help on 5.0 or 5.7
sup i just bought the car of my dreams a 86 camaro iroc-z thing is now it wont start.....and i got to lookin at the engine and its missin one of its v-belts....i was wondering if anyone could shoot me a diagram for a 5.0 or a 5.7 v8 belt diagram....the belt its missin it the water pump to the AIR pump i believe but everybelt oriellys gives me is too big....so am i really just messin up big time??? so if you could shoot me a diagram please.....its a 5.0 or 5.7 v8 fuel injection and everything.....thanks guys

Look at these and see if any make sense to you... it looks to me like the left column is for Corvettes, and the right is Camaro/Firebird. These are for TPI, LT1, and LS1 engines, so read the labels and see what they are and what matches what you have.
The 2nd one down on the right side is probably the one you need.

Well, the belt is not the issue for the no-start. The belt is for the smog pump and only goes to the smog pump and water pump. Go somewhere else if ORielly's is messing you up and keeps giving you the wrong one. Sounds like that particular store doesn't have it all together. Do you have fuel injection or carberater? This might help us help you with the no-start issue.

Nah, he's got the v-belt setup. Those are all serpentine belt routes.
The little skinny v-belt that goes from the WP pulley to the air pump won't cause any harm (except emissions) and won't prevent the engine from starting or running as usual.

Check for spark and check fuel pressure and let us know which you have or don't have. If you have both, use starting fluid to see if the car would start up and stall. This will lead us to where your issue is at.

its got spark trust me shocked the ummmm out of me....and its got fuel pressure.....the plugs are fouled out so im going to change them today and i found a vacuum line to like my fuel pressure sensor or some bs broken and a random bs ground busted........just to show ya my dad knew nothing when he worked on cars either
