Ok just put a new open element on a TBI 305 V8.

I also put on a new oil sending unit,, the oil pressure goes straight to max pressure the whole time the car is running and the fuel pump runs as soon as the battery cable is connected without the car on????? Fuel pump will not shut off unless i pull a fuse or disconnect battery???? I changed the fule pump relay about 2 months ago,, didnt have this problem until after i changed my oil sending unit??????

Also idle is terrible with new open element?? it goes real high then a slight miss or sputter then fluctuates on its own all over the place?????? Service engine light comes on then goes off here and there?????

help me please,, i have dumped so much money in this thing and all i want to do is drive it out of my driveway at least 1 time this year!!!!!

If you just replaced the oil sending unit and the fuel pump is constantly on, unplug the new sending unit. If the fuel pump goes off, you have a bad oil sending unit (manufactured bad). Also, what was the problem that the sending unit was replaced to begin with? Return it and get another one. Also, what code are you getting for the Service Engine light? This will help us help you.
