Re: 35tpi egr help

Check over your spark plugs and your spark plug wires, first. Then ohm your injectors to make sure they're all higher than 14 ohms.

What makes you think the EGR is bad?

Re: 35tpi egr help

blocking off your egr can potentially hurt your performance, if you think the egr is stuck why dont you back that thought up with a little diagnosis? take a vacuum pump to it to make sure its holding vacuum and make sure its got a full range of movement, keep in mind the tpis also have the wire coming off the egr valve to sense its position, make sure everything is in working order before you start cutting parts out, im sure this may sound dumb but did you check your tps? and your cables to make sure they arent stuck? have you reset the tps and/or IAC and reset minimum air?

Re: 35tpi egr help

If the EGR is stuck open, then yes. You're getting hot exhaust gas mixed in with your fresh air and gasoline, at idle.
