Difference between TPI, TBI & MPI

I have searched but can't find the answer to my dumb question. What is the difference between TPI, TBI & MPI engines and what are the pros & cons?

Depends who you ask. . .

The factory used TPI for their higher output engines (not "HO", higher horsepower). That doesn't mean you can't get TBI to make as much power, but the aftermarket doesn't support it as well, and the factory saddled TBI with some restrictive parts (heads, exhaust).

Of course, LT1 > TPI, and LS1 > LT1, so where do you want to draw the line?

No, there are other MPFI systems that are much better. I'd even take a TBI setup over TPI.
