Re: changing fuel pump
Good for the starting of the car. Now you would have replaced that pump and still have the same issue. Glad we were able to help get you to find the real problem before you started hacking away at the body. As for the overheating problem, you should replace the radiator and the thermostat. According to your other post, you are missing the drain plug on the radiator. No telling what else is bad with that radiator. Also flush the engine with water and get all the crap out of it. Then replace the radiator and thermostat, then fill with coolant. Like I said before - GLAD YOU DIDN'T HACK UP YOUR BODY FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!

Re: changing fuel pump
86camaro, i didnt hack my body, i took the pump back and got my money back, but ill remember that next time. I bought a new serpentine belt yesterday, i guess today i buy a new radiator and thermostat, and a water pump? i asked in the other thread too, how do i flush the engine with water? thanks.
edit: looked on autozone.com and a radiator is $120, a water pump is $65, a thermostat is $8, looks like for now i replace the thermostat and just buy a new drain plug for the radiator, and flush the engine out with water if i can. next week ill get the water pump and radiator.

Yeah, we prevented him from cutting up the body and making sure that the pump was what he needed. Turns out it was just a relay. So we are on the good and helping him figure out the problems without just throwing parts at it and hoping for the best.
