Replacing carb
Going to replace my Quadrajet with a holley. On my 1986 z28. All I have to do is replace the distributor also right. Any help would be great.

You also need to check the fuel pressure will probably need to be bumped up (new fuel pump with a regulator). Also unless your swapping on a square bore manifold youll need an adapter. Fuel lines will need to be adapted if your useing a double pumper youll probably want one of the pre made fuel lines for it. You could always swap on the holley spread bore carb thats designed for these cars. Its 50 state legal and would require no changes (except maby fuel pressure).

Fuel pressure? No, that should be the same.
What year car, specs!
- auto tranny? requires modification for the lockup converter
- pull the check engine light, it's a decoration now

It's a 1986 z28 305 motor 700r4 trans. All stock. Mecanical fuel pump on block not in gas tank. Is there anything that will give me like a step by step instructions.
