how are u grounded?
how do u guys have ur motor ground straps hooked up? i have a 4 gauge strap and dunno where to put it. any pics wuld be nice

If you expect the ignition box to work, the engine must be grounded to the battery -
and grounded to the body (firewall). You need both good grounds or it will miss.
Be sure the input leads coming from the HEI distributor mag pick up are not running parrellel to any other wires. They should be twisted around each other as well to avoid picking up electromagnetic interference.
The center post (under the in cap coil) on the HEI distributor must be replaced with a solid copper low resistance type. MSD replacement part
and grounded to the body (firewall). You need both good grounds or it will miss.

ya i actually am having a miss problem at 2500rpm level when i reeve it.. im thinking its the ground strap not being there. i ahve the wires ran away from each other but dont have the mag pickup wires twisted together. gotta do that.

in the distributor cap, under the in cap coil. MSD Part No. 8412

o i put on a hypertech dist cap coil and rotor. will that be good or do i gotta put taht in? also what can i do to get it to stop missing when reeving?
