stroker wont start now
k i have a 383 stoker, freshly built, not even 200 kms on it
then my car got smashed to **** by a guy with a signpostand i was doing body repairs on it in winter
i decide to start it up, notice no oil pressure, and instanly like 7 litres of oil on the ground
i fill it up and try it again after changing filter (thought might have blown gasket) and the same thing happend, and i heard what i figured was a main bearing churp
so i pull the engine flip it over, inspect mains for excessive wear, find none - re' torque
the leak!! - was the stupid $.02 spin on adapter, must have been cracked somehow
annnyways, goter all squared, reinstalled my intake timed with finger in hole trick, bang on tdc
the thing won't fire. only runs brieflly if i pump the accelerators a bunch and it kind of just runs off the excess fuel
i checked for missing plugs on car, intake, thinking it must be vaccum leak
i changed the intake gaskets to those new style plastic+ silicone ones for vortec heads. i siliconed the one side down to the heads
im now onto thinking its an ignition problem? shoud the blaster coils orange and black have contsant power with ignition forward?
is there any carb priming needing to be done
im a pretty smart car guy, but this one has stumped a few of us
NOTHING has changed, carb and intake were removed. 6al has power.
heres the engine

sorry for the dirt and broken glass.. its not my fault

The coil gets 12 v until the box interrupts the circuit to fire the coil.
Is fuel getting to the carb?

Re: stroker wont start now
Looking at the pic...the wires don't look like they are in the right order, unless the F.O. has been changed or the cap is a corrected style cap.

Good catch. It looks like 1-8-4-6, at least. Should be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Even a 4-7 swap wouldn't look like this.
