Service Engine Soon: High Idle

I recently took apart my intake, repainted valve covers, painted intake runners, and the plenum. Put it all back together, and I have a bad fuel pump (I believe) and for some reason, it has a high idle that seems to climb as I let it run. It idles at like 2.5k. When I put it in drive I have to hold the brake or it'll chirp the wheels.

Service engine soon light is on, goes on and off as I drive. I have the fuel pump pulled out of the car right now. Anyone know what it could be?

Maybe I connected something wrong?

Also is there a way to find out what the service engine soon code is?

the 12 is nothing just telling ya its working. dont know 22 never had that code. If it was wrong after you put it all back together then u know something was not hooked up right. Get a manual to look at the pics or google images. if u find what the code means then it will help to a point.

Well i dont have tpi so id get the book out, find the all parts in the troubled circuit's and start testing. You can find specs in the book. Start with the tps then if it checks out go in the frontal direction of the circuit till you find trouble. remember electricity starts in one place and ends in another meaning it fows in one direction. Here is what I mean: power starts here in a circuit *----*----*----*-----* power ends here. Picture the center star as your tps. test it. if the test is ok then move right untill you find the trouble. If the tps does not test good then move left until you find the trouble. Check between the components for wire trouble when u find the component trouble. Always keep it simple, by starting with the component that is identifiied in the code test. Hope this helps.
