My 89 Iroc TPI kept dying on my way to work. When I would get going highway speeds or get into a certain RPM range the gas pedel would fall out during acceleration. (Just like when you turn right on a low tank of gas in a 3rd gen.) (Same feeling) If I would shift it into Neutral it would usually not die and have throttle response again but as soon as I put it back into drive and start to take off it would do alright for a second and then the gas pedal would fall out again. If I left it in Drive it would usually die. I tried to play with it a little bit to get a feel for it. (my RPM's haven't been right since I got the car. You get up in the yellow and red everytime you take off.) I did notice it was cutting out everytime I got up close to the yellow which on my car I would guess around 3500rpms. I would usually guess it was a prob. with the fuel delivery eg: fuel pump, fuel filter, ect. but it acted fine and reved up strong in Neutral. Can someone please give me some ideas on what it could be. Thanks in advance Josh
