tps falls yes falls
a friend stopped by with 89 firebird claimed it ran awful which it did, checked everything over and found his tps starts out around 5 volts closed and .5 at wot, switched sensor still the same. I know its in reverse so i assumed wires were switched traced ALL OF THEM NO SPLICES ANY WHERE!!! So a am just going to pin the sensor to work correctly however I thought I i would ask if anyone would claim there is another fault somewhere that could make this happen that I am unaware of. It is throwing 2 codes 13, 22 engine coolant sensor is the first and tps is the second because I decided I would unhook it for the evening and hope for a direction pointing reply, and it runs fine with sensor unhooked which also suprised me be but..so do alot of things. thanks for the help

Is this a V6 car? Sometime back I recall a conversation about the TPS voltages on V6 engines working in reverse of how they do on most others.
Definitely fix the CTS sensor. That's guaranteed to run it rich if it thinks the engine is always running at -40*F (off the cold end of the range).
