Ignition Timing, help?
I Need some advice on timing and advance springs.
I have a 327ci in my 89 camaro, t56 manual transmission, and 3.73 drive ratio.
The engine idles at 900rpm and has peak power at 6,400. I´t think it has around 9.5:1 compression.
I´t has msd 6al, blaster III, pro billet distrubutor (w/o vacuum adv) and msd 8.5mm wires.
What shuld the inital timing be? What advance springs do you recommend for my application? and how much total timing?
thanks in advance...

The reason I ask is most decent speed shops have a machine for setting up dist and they also have a chart that shows general timing curves for different combinations. I have played with the springs and weights before and finall gave up and took it and paid the 30 bucks to have it done and it worked great. If this is not a option, maybe somebody that has had better luck than me doing it themselves can chime in. Thread Starter

Do you have a speed shop close to you? I see you are in Iceland?
