Oil leak

ok check it out, i just got a an 84 camaro , with a 5.0 305 h.o engine. the problem is that its leaking oil in various spots, i need help with this can i have suggestions, i know its not the place to post this issue up, but i need help. thx

No, posting in someone else's thread with your problem is not the right thing to do.

Now you have a thread of your own.

But, you aren't going to get much help with the way you worded it. Are you expecting a list of all possible places oil can leak? Why don't you just start by telling us where you're seeing the leaks.

oh okay sorry is just that im new in this website and im still getting acustomed. well i got various leaks, but they are all small. im worried about one, its on the drivers side in the front.

Sounds like either the timing cover gasket, or the seal in the cover where the balancer attaches to the crank. The latter is press fit- you can knock it out w/ a socket and a BFH, and it installs the same way.

Easiest way to eliminate them ALL is to use a Fel Pro 1 pc oil pan gasket, and replace the timing cover gasket/balancer seal.

Otherwise, just do the tc gasket/balancer seal, and RTV the crap out of the corners.

Depends....do you have a balancer puller, and installer? Otherwise the gasket kit is pretty cheap.

Also, if you are doing the oil pan as well, the 1 pc gasket costs about 40, but is worth every penny.
