PCV to intake hose- missing the connector to air cleaner

Hey all, minor problem.
My T/A is missing the elbow or whatever it is that connects the hose from the PCV valve to the air cleaner. It's a square hole, no screw holes or anything. All the connectors at NAPA are round. Is there a replacement for this, or do i need to mod a round one to fit?

And out of curiosity, is there a common reason someone would remove this?
Thanks
